Walton Heath Golf Club, ranked 35th in the UK and Ireland, commissioned us to deliver a new canopy structure and surrounding hard landscaping. The goal was to create a refined, weather-protected area that matched the club’s high standards. The structure is fully independent from the main clubhouse and includes integrated services, high-spec finishes, and detailing throughout.
Steel Frame and Danopol Roof System
The canopy spans 45 metres and was built using a steel frame with timber infill and cladding. This gave the structure both strength and warmth, tying in with the surrounding architecture. A Danopol membrane roof was installed for a clean finish and long-term weather resistance. The entire build stands separate from the existing clubhouse, maintaining full structural independence.
Hard Landscaping and Balustrades
Paving around the structure was completed using Wallbarn pedestals, allowing for level installation and drainage without compromising the finish. A clear glass balustrade wraps around the canopy and lines the steps, offering safety while keeping views of the course completely open.
Services and Finishing Touches
To make the space usable in all conditions, we installed integrated lighting and overhead heaters. These features were built into the canopy design for a seamless look and year-round comfort. Every element was considered to match the level of quality expected by the club and its members.
